Introduction to Image and Video ProcessingBasic concepts and applications in image and video processing; introduction to multidimensional signal processing: sampling, Fourier transform, filtering, interpolation and decimation; human visual perception; scanning and display of images and video; image enhancement, restoration and segmentation; digital image and video compression; and image analysis. Laboratory exercises allow students to gain hands-on experience with these topics and develop C and Matlab programs.Prerequisite: ECE 310, credit or concurrent registration in ECE 313, STAT 310, I E 230, MATH 315 or MATH 361.
