(ENGL 119) Surveys masterworks in the romance tradition from Shakespeare's time to the present; as distinct from science fiction, the materials feature magic and the supernatural rather than technology; and include stage romance, fairy tale, horror tale, and fantasy-novel. Individual works are set in their historical and literary contexts. Same as CWL 119.
