Description of physical, chemical, and biological characteristics in streams and rivers including an integrated study of the environmental factors affecting the composition and distribution of biota; emphasizes the application of ecological principles in aquatic ecosystem protection and management. Same as IB 450. Prerequisite: CEE 430.
