ARCH 545 Design & Constructability
Credit: 3 or 4 hours.
Advanced course on building design for greater constructability, including material alternatives and their architectural, performance, and construction implications; the implications of the specifics of design on the range of applicable construction methods, and therefore, on construction productivity and economy; and the strategies for designing buildings of high constructability and greater overall value. (Day-long Friday field trips and lab fee). Term paper is required for 4 hours credit. Prerequisite: ARCH 544or consent of instructor.
