Early Modern Japan

Study of the people, culture, and society from 1600 to 1868. Traces the rise of Japan's first truly national culture. Same as EALC 426. 3 undergraduate hours. 4 graduate hours. Prerequisite: One course in Japanese history: EALC 250, HIST 120, HIST 226, or HIST 227, graduate standing, or consent of instructor.
