Interactive Sys Model and Des

Credit: 3 or 4 hours.


Analysis and modeling of human-machine interaction in large-scale dynamic systems, development of graphical user interface and interactive real-time simulation environments, human performance evaluation. Utilizes Motif-based user interfaces and the C++ object-oriented programming language. Students work in teams to design, implement, and evaluate graphical interactive simulation environments for complex engineering systems such as manufacturing systems. Same as AVI 441. Prerequisite: IE 300, IE 340, and CS 110; or equivalent; or consent of instructor.
