Study of the control of luminous and sonic environments, the supporting building systems, and their integration into the overall building design. Specific topics include: lighting fundamentals; light sources; effects of lighting on comfort and performance; lighting calculations and design; energy economy and sustainability; acoustic fundamentals; room acoustics; noise control; and basic electrical and sound systems. Prerequisite: ARCH 231.
