Physical Climatology

Credit:  3 or 4 hours.


Surveys the basic concepts of energy balance climatology, with emphasis on the topoclimatic scale; lectures supplemented by calculations and field observations examining the effects of location and surface characteristics on determination of climate. 3 undergraduate hours. 4 graduate hours. Prerequisite: MATH 012, PHYS 101, and GEOG 102; or consent of instructor.
