Continuum Mechanics

Credit:  4 hours.


Tensor algebra and analysis; kinematics of continua; mass, force, stress, and the general balance laws of continuum mechanics; introduction to constitutive equations. Graduate credit is not given to Theoretical and Applied Mechanics majors, except by petition to the Graduate Program Committee. Prerequisite: MATH 241 or MATH 380; TAM 251.
