ARTH 311 African Art and Society II
Credit: 3 hours.
(ARTHI 211) Introduces the arts of Black Africa, i.e., dance, drama, songs, and poetry, as expressed in a multi-media framework and a social-religious context; focuses on Yoruba art and surveys the art traditions of southeastern Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, Central Africa, and East Africa.
