4 hours INTERDISCIPLINARY CRITIQUE SEMINAR; This interdisciplinary course held in the Chicago area is made up of working artists and art teachers seeking aggressive studio practice. Artists from a variety of disciplines including painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography and mixed media come together to discuss the expansive possibilities of their work. Through group critiques, individual conferences, slide lectures, readings, demonstrations and field trips, artists acquire knowledge skills and methods of developing their work and transforming their ideas. Class will meet on the following dates at Rolling Meadows High School: Thursdays, Sept. 16, 23, Oct. 21, 28, Nov. 18 (6:30-9:30 pm); Saturdays, Oct. 2, 16, Nov. 6, Dec. 11 (10 am-4pm); Academic Outreach restrictions and assessments apply, see http://www.outreach.uiuc.edu.
