Topic: Animal Others and Us. This course focuses on a posthumanist, poststructuralist, reconsideration of a variety of fundamental historical texts and theoretical sources that have been traditionally been used to position what is "animal" as the antithesis and counterpart to what is "human" - creating a situation wherein animal "otherness" is the accepted form.
