| 2 hours Water, Ecology and Engineering Water, Ecology and Engineering, 2 hours. The purpose of this course is to help students gain an appreciation of the unique and central role of water in our lives and the infrastructure that provides that water. This course explores economic, political, and social issues of water around the world. A particular focus of these discussions is the critical role water plays in society and the global implications of place-based change to water resources management. The course will include field trips including at least one weekend watershed analysis practicum. First year Discovery Course Program. Registration restricted to freshmen. Students should enroll in only one Discovery course. |
