Making and Meaning

Credit:  3 hours.


Introduction to the relationship of material, method, and process to meaning in art practice. Through research, critique, and application of concepts in material studio processes, students will explore a diverse range of methods of achieving meaning in an artwork. May be repeated up to 6 hours. Prerequisite: ARTS 102 and ARTS 104.
