| 3 hours Discovery course. Introduction to Programming - A Multimedia Approach Topic: Introduction to computer programming with non-technical focus. Problems are chosen from interesting multimedia application areas, including graphics, picture and sound manipulation, and programming for the web. Most class activities will have a lab component. The programming language Python will be used. Will satisfy INFO 103 requirement for the new campus Informatics Minor. | 4 hours Lab section meets in the lower level of the Siebel Center, room 0220. Topic: Little Bits to Big Ideas. This course offers a broad survey of the field of Computer Science for the non-major. Fundamental ideas underlying the nature, capabilities, and limitations of computing will be explored, together with "great ideas" of Computer Science.
